Paravang

The name of this stylish structure dating from the belle époque period stems from the French word paravent; literally ‘wind screen’. The Paravang is a left over from a period when bathing tourism was an elitist distraction.

Thanks to an exotically influenced neo gothic style it exudes clear hints of the Orient.
The Paravang is a favourite meeting point, for both locals and tourists alike. It is also just a pleasant place to sit around and enjoy the views out over the harbour or of the Leopold Park.
