The 'staketsels' (structures) are erected on the eastern and western sides of the harbour channel. This is a great area to walk in, feel the wind on your face and watch the fascinating choreography of boats arriving and leaving the harbour.
Due to the construction of a new western breakwater, the 'Westerstaketsel' will be demolished and inaccessible from 2 October 2023. The works will last until spring 2026.
