The annual winter exhibition of the Blankenbergs Art Collective will take place this year from 5 December to 14 December 2025.

Autumn! The leaves are falling, it's getting colder and darker earlier... At this time of year, the ghouls are getting closer! In Blankenberge, a mysterious witch is preparing to brew her great magic soup. A soup so powerful that she can use it to bring ghosts to life. But... She is still looking for the right ingredients to finish her soup. Do you dare to help her?

This winter, exhibition venue De Meridiaan is once again opening its doors to local visual artists. Five artists will have the opportunity to showcase their work – each with their own style, techniques and stories.

During the winter months, the Uitkerkse Polder is bursting at the seams with bird life. Many thousands of geese, who spent the summer breeding season in the far arctic north, come in winter to feast on the nutritious grass they find in the vast meadows. You will find imposing flocks of kola geese, barnacle geese and pink-footed geese all over the wide area. For the latter, the Belgian coastal polders are one of the most important wintering areas in the world.
