From Saturday 17 October 2026, you can discover the story of the Nominoë and Blankenberge’s maritime history during an immersive walk through the town.

140 years ago, the French sailing ship Nominoë ran aground on Blankenberge beach during a severe storm. Brave rescue workers tried to help the five crew members. Five rescue workers lost their lives during this rescue operation. Fortunately, the French crew were rescued the following day. Amidst all the hustle and bustle, the sailors of the Nominoë forgot one very important thing… their treasure chest!

During the autumn holidays Blankenberge is again immersed in a spooky atmosphere full of witches, ghosts and vampires. Throughout the holidays, young and old can enjoy all kinds of Halloween activities.

Set off on a spooky mission and try to complete the tasks at various locations. Watch out for ghosts or ghouls on the walking treasure hunt! There’s also a soup stall along the way. Starts at 6 p.m. (as agreed when booking) in groups of around 15 people.

Duck fishing, banging on the bumper cars or feasting on a portion of chips,... From Saturday 31 October to Sunday 8 November, young and old can have a blast at the Halloween fun fair on the Market Square.

Come and enjoy the big illuminated Halloween parade with impressive floats and groups dressed in spooky costumes.

Get ready for a day full of surprises, play and creativity, because this year, on Children’s Arts Day, we’re having a brilliant time colouring outside the lines. Join us on and off the stage, put your own spin on music and make up new words. Dance without set steps, play with your shadow and build a world turned upside down. Here, your imagination has all the space it needs to experiment freely.

Fancy a cracking pool party? Come and have a swim and let your hair down to the beats of DJ NATICK. After the swim, every participant will be treated to a deluxe hotdog and a drink.

Experience the winter months like never before during 'Winter Fun' from 27 November 2026 to 3 January 2027. Expect an indoor skating rink, a cosy winter bar, an atmospheric Christmas market with mini-chalets, a Glühwein tower and a magical LED ball on Koning Leopold III square.

Carnival remains a highlight of the winter events calendar. From 6 February to 14 February 2027, there are plenty of carnival-themed activities on the programme. The highlight is the carnival parade, which will wind its way through the streets on Sunday 7 February. Carnival societies dressed in their finest and dozens of floats are sure to make for a magnificent parade.

On Sunday 29 August 2027, thousands of dahlias will brighten up Blankenberge, as the flower parade, featuring floats and dance groups, winds its way through the town centre.

Head out and explore the Beaufort Sculpture Park with the children. The trail invites you to plan your own route and to engage with the artworks in a playful way along the way. Each artwork comes with activities designed to encourage you to look more closely, think and, above all, get involved.
