Uitkerkse Polder walk

The open polder landscape between Blankenberge and Zuienkerke stretches to over 1,400 ha. This area is one of the last remaining open spaces on the Flemish coastline. At almost 8 km, this walk gives you an exceptional view of what the coastal polders used to look like. The Uitkerkse Polder provides an ideal biotope for many bird species throughout the year.

Coastal walking network

At 180 km with 140 hubs, the coastal walking network is just one art mega-menu. Select your own tasters from nature, culture, history and the maritime past. One of the walk’s routes runs parallel with the coast, while another veers off inland, with plenty of handy connections between the two.

From Knokke all the way to De Panne these lines string together some of the Flemish coast’s most wonderful pearls. You can decide on your own starting point and route by following the hub signposts. Weary? You just need to make it to the next coastal tram stop which services the entire route.
